The Marquee Courses in Science and Technology is a signature program developed at the University of Maryland to address the national need for an appreciation and understanding of how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics can provide solutions to present and future world challenges.
The courses are taught by a select group of the leading science faculty at the University of Maryland. The courses are designed for students not majoring in the sciences or engineering. Students study the process of science and how it offers solutions to many of the problems facing today's world. Additionally, the courses fulfill a lower level CORE science requirement.
